
My ride is a 2014 Triumph Tiger 800. The Tiger is a 800cc triple cylinder adventure-style motorcycle. Currently outfitted with Triumph luggage (Givi Trekker Outback), Puig tourging screen, Helibar risers, Heat Demon grip heaters, BarkBuster hand guards, Seat Concepts saddle. Triumph has been producing motorcycles since 1902 and started the Tiger model in the 1930’s, although the current Tigers have nothing in common with the original bikes. A white Tiger 800 XC was featured in the Mission Impossible: Fallout movie.

Don’s ride is a 2019 V-Strom650. This is his third V-Strom including the yellow one that made the Newfoundland-Labrador trip and had 116,000 miles when he sold it. A collision with a deer destroyed his red 2005. The V-Strom is a 650cc v-twin. It currently sports a Russell Day Long seat, Givi Dolomiti panniers and top case, Givi AirFlow windshield, BarkBuster hand guards, Suzuki heated grips, T-Rex Racing crash bars and skid plate. The 650 model is often referred to as the Wee-Strom, as Suzuki makes a larger 1000 cc version.
